 Welcome to Bucksaw Retreat, a quiet semi-private camping getaway just 0.5 miles from Bucksaw Marina at Truman Lake. Conveniently located between Clinton and Tightwad, our small campground offers a peaceful alternative to the larger, crowded campgrounds nearby.  With only 2 pull-through RV sites and 2 secluded primitive tent sites, Bucksaw Retreat is designed for guests looking to slow down, enjoy nature, and spend more time on the water or around the fire instead of packed into a busy campground.  Our RV sites are located in an open field with both 30 amp and 50 amp electric hookups available and plenty of room for boats and trailers. The wooded primitive tent sites offer a more secluded, rustic camping experience surrounded by nature and easy access to nearby Corps of Engineers land for hiking and exploring.  Guests can gather around the communal fire pit, enjoy peaceful evenings under the stars, and take advantage of quick marina access for fishing and boating adventures on Truman Lake. With minimal light pollution and fewer campsites, Bucksaw Retreat is an ideal place for stargazing, relaxing, and unplugging from the busy pace of everyday life.  Please note this is a rustic camping experience. There is no water hookup or Wi-Fi onsite. A portable restroom is available for guest use.  Quiet hours are observed from 11 PM to 7 AM to help preserve the peaceful atmosphere for all guests.  Leashed pets are welcome.
